Nervous System is a design studio that works at the intersection of science, art, and technology. We create using a novel process that employs computer simulation to generate designs and digital fabrication to realize products. PC laptops typically run on Windows operating systems while MacBooks use Apple's proprietary operating systems. The screen size, hard drive space, processor speed and other selling points are virtually similar to PC laptops, it just comes down to the look and functionality of the operating system you prefer. Sporting an unusual design, awkwardly-placed touchpad and solid cooling design (thanks to the huge heat-dispersing plates and probably 3D blade design that’s inherent to most Predator laptops), the Predator Triton 700 surprises with decent overall temperatures under extended heavy workload. The clearest example of this can be seen in the All-in-One (AIO) computer, which turns the idea of the PC on its side—literally. AIOs blur the lines between desktops and laptops with a large touch screen and a built-in battery so you can easily prop it up, lay it down, or unplug it and move it to any room in the house.

Each piece emerges from a computational simulation of differential growth, a surface that grows at different rates in different location. The flowering structures expand fastest along their edges, evolving from simple surfaces to flexuous forms that fill space with curves, folds, and ruffles.

Kinematics is a system for designing and simulating flexible structures for 3D printing. Kinematics generates customized designs composed of 10s to thousands of hinged, interlocking modules. The designs are computationally folded using rigid-body physics into a smaller form for fabrication by 3D printing.
